Boy's Rite of Passage

About this program
The focus of this week is to help bridge the path of maturing boys from childhood to young adults. This class will use ceremony, nature awareness, nature skills and life skills to encourage boys to become more self-reliant so they can live the life of their dreams. The boys will work with mentors, and through solo time to create a code of honor to live by.
Tim has been leading rites of passage for 30 years. We are very excited to bring rites of passage back to our young people.

What people are saying:
This trip is both wonderful and challenging for 4th graders. They sleep under the stars in a shelter they built, jump into mud puddles, swim in cool water, hike through dark caves and forests, and do it all as a tribe. I cannot stress how important these trips are for the children to embark on together. During the New Village journey, there will be many more trips like this that allow our students to develop flexibility and grit. Experiences like these help them grow as individuals and as a class.
